Welcome to Reflect Day ("the App"). This App is provided as-is by an independent developer ("Developer", "we", "us") without any warranties or guarantees of any kind. By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Use of the App

Reflect Day is a personal journaling application designed to help users record and organize their thoughts and experiences. The App operates as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and processes all data locally on your device or in your personal cloud storage.

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • All content created, stored, or managed through the App
  • Maintaining the security of your device and data
  • Backing up your journal entries and data regularly
  • Complying with all applicable laws while using the App
  • Properly securing any API keys or cloud storage credentials you use with the App

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The Developer makes no warranty that:

  • The App will meet your requirements
  • The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Any errors in the App will be corrected
  • Your data will be preserved or maintained without loss
  • Third-party services and APIs integrated with the App will function properly

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES (EVEN IF THE DEVELOPER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES), RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the App
  • Any changes made to the App
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Statements or conduct of any third party regarding the App
  • Any data loss or corruption due to technical issues
  • Any issues with cloud storage synchronization
  • Any issues with third-party services or APIs (including but not limited to OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo, or Google)
  • Any other matter relating to the App

6. Data Storage and Privacy

The App processes and stores your data in the following ways:

  • Locally on your device for offline use
  • In your personal cloud storage account if you enable sync features
  • Temporarily by third-party services when using features like location, weather, or AI

The Developer does not have access to your journal entries or personal information. You are responsible for the security of your device, cloud storage accounts, and any API keys you provide to the App.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services such as cloud storage providers, location and weather APIs, and AI services. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. The Developer is not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services.

8. Modifications to the App and Terms

The Developer reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the App or any features or portions thereof without prior notice. The Developer also reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Developer resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
